X Factor creator wishes he was a part of rival show
Thursday, 10 April 2008
Simon Cowell has said he hates Strictly Come Dancing.
The pop mogul is particularly peeved that he didn’t create it, because it’s a rival to his show The X Factor.
‘Strictly Come Dancing p***es me off more than anything else,’ he tells The Sun. ‘I would love it. I just wished I owned the show.’
But Simon, 48, begrudgingly admits that Strictly makes him proud to be part of British TV.
‘Look at the success of The X Factor and – although I hate to say it – Strictly Come Dancing. It’s great to be British again, we have to start recognising that.
'We’re the best in the world. It’s time to put our heads up again, it’s very important.’
