He leaves flagship show to pursue other TV projects

Gethin Jones is leaving Blue Peter at the end of the current series, after 3 years as a host.
'Gethin has been a brilliant Blue Peter presenter,' show editor Tim Levell says. 'He really is the total action man.
'And he helped raise Blue Peter's profile last year with his starring run on Strictly Come Dancing. We wish him all the best.'
Gethin, 30, is dating Welsh opera star Katherine Jenkins, who he met on the show. He's leaving to concentrate on other TV projects.
