Corrine Bailey Rae issues statement about husband’s death

Singer thanks fans for support over Jason Rae’s drugs overdose

Corrine Bailey Rae’s manager Bob Miller has issued a statement on her behalf about her husband’s death.

Jason Rae, 31, was found dead from a suspected drugs overdose at a friend's flat in Leeds on 22 March.

Now Corrine, 29, has broken her silence to thank fans for their support.

‘Corinne remains devastated at losing her soul mate and is very grateful for the wonderful tributes paid to Jason by those who knew him and worked with him,’ Mr Miller says in the statement.

‘The overwhelming goodwill towards Corinne and Jason has deeply touched her and will help her get through the next weeks and months.’

Corinne and Jason married in 2001. An inquest into his death has been adjourned, reports the Daily Record.
