Actress says she avoids confrontation
Saturday, 18 October 2008
Natalie Portman admits she's so keen to stay out of arguments that she'll often hide her feelings.
'I'm very non-confrontational; I'm definitely a pleaser,' she says.
And Nat, 27, reckons it's because she's a woman.
'I bury my [independence and ambition] a lot, which is a very woman thing to do,' she tells US Elle.
'They say women often preface their statements with "This might sound stupid, but…" It sort of tempers what you are going to say.
'It takes the edge off so you can still be seen as ladylike. I think I have a lot of that in me.'
