Mariah Carey doesn't do mornings!

Singer cancels interviews to get her beauty sleep

Mariah Carey cancelled several radio interviews this week – reportedly because she doesn't do mornings.

The singer is in the UK plugging her new album E=MC2. But after pulling out of a chat with Capital FM’s breakfast show at the last minute, her people are said to have told them that Mariah is ‘not a morning person’.

Mariah, 38, had dined at London restaurant San Lorenzo the night before and then continued to party at Claridge’s Hotel, where she’s been staying.

‘We had made sure we complied with her list of demands,’ says an insider at Capital. ‘[But] we can't always wait around for guests, no matter how famous they are. We are working to tight schedules.’

Radio One were also rumoured to have re-scheduled her 11am slot after she was late arriving at the studios.

The star is currently celebrating after getting her 18th No1 single in the States with Touch My Body. It means she’s overtaken Elvis Presley for the most US chart-toppers – putting her second only to the Beatles.
