Heath Ledger is not dad to ‘secret child’, insists Australian mum

There is no proof 11-year-old is his daughter she says

Heath Ledger did not father a secret love child, says his alleged former 'lover'.

Earlier this week Heath's uncle Haydn admitted rumours the late actor became a dad at 17 after an affair with a woman of 25 might well be true.

But the woman – whose name has been withheld to protect her and her 11-year-old daughter's privacy – says there is no proof they had a baby together.

‘I'm not answering anything,’ she tells a Western Australian newspaper.

‘I think it's very, very rude that I'm being posed all of this. I really do. I can't talk about anything.

‘You have no proof, there's no background, there's no grounds, there's no nothing.’

Her husband – the step-father to the little girl - supports her assertions.

'No way,' he says. 'No can be. It would probably be a great thing if she was, but no.'

Heath died of a prescription drug overdose in January at the age of 28. He has a daughter Matilda, 2, with ex-fiancée Michelle Williams, 28.
