Cheryl Cole's mum 'furious' that Ashley has talked her daughter round

Joan can't believe her son-in-law's cheek

Cheryl Cole has decided to forgive cheating husband Ashley but her mum Joan - who lives part-time with the couple in Oxshott, Surrey - is still angry.

Now's source reveals: 'Cheryl's family and friends all feel that she's making a very big mistake. He's promised her that he'll always be faithful and that he only cheated twice [with hairdresser Aimee Walton and model Brooke Healy].

'She's said that if he's lying then she's going straight to the divorce courts.

'Joan can't believe his cheek. As if it's okay that there were only two other girls!'

In turn, Ashley, 27, wants her mother to move out and keep her nose out of their business.

Our source adds: 'Ashley can't stand her meddling. He says it's not healthy having his mother-in-law living under the same roof – they've no privacy.

'Ashley reckons Cheryl doesn't think for herself at times. He says her parents haven't let her grow up and make decisions of her own. He's even tried to blame his past actions on the fact that he felt smothered by Cheryl's family.'

As we first reported a month ago, Cheryl, 24, feels she can't give up on Ashley and told a friend: 'He's my soul mate. At least if it fails, I can walk away with my head held high knowing I tried – and not live with the "what if?"
