Consumer magazine thinks it sends unhealthy message to kids

David Beckham has been told to ditch his £2m deal with Pepsi.
Consumer Association magazine Which? claims 75% of British parents believe celebrities shouldn't advertise high-sugar food and drinks – as it sends out an unhealthy message to kids.
'No parent in their right mind regards cola as a healthy option,' says Dr Mark Porter, commenting on the report. 'At least one in three children in Britain develops dental decay before their 6th birthday.
'Sugary drinks now account for more than 10% of some children's calorific intake. One can of cola contains 140 calories – empty energy that has little or no real nutritional value.'
But David's spokesman defended his association with the brand.
'Pepsi is a legitimate company which acts responsibly and satisfies both EU and Ofcom regulations regarding advertising to minors,' he tells the Daily Star.
