Singer finds dating in New York very tricky

Estelle says she hasn’t had anyone special in her life for over 12 months.

The singer, 28 – whose single American Boy is at No 1 – is finding it hard to find love in the US.

‘I haven’t had a boyfriend for a year,’ she admits.

'The last bloke I had only lasted a few months, then I found out he had cheated on me.'

Pals keep trying to set Estelle up with likely men but she says relationships in New York can be very casual.

'People have got two or three dates on the go,' she tells the Sunday Mirror. 'So even if you wake up in someone’s bed and he makes you breakfast, it doesn’t mean you’re together.’
