Proud dad Prince Charles inducts him
Saturday, 12 April 2008
Prince William received his RAF wings yesterday - becoming Flying Officer William Wales.
Wills qualified as a pilot after an intensive 12-week course.
Proud father Prince Charles, 59, presented him with a Velcro flying badge that he stuck to his uniform at the ceremony at RAF Cranwell, Lincs.
Wing Commander Andy Lovell, who trained Wills, says he was a first rate student.
'I was impressed by his flying skills,' he tells The Sun. 'He was very quick to learn.'
Stepmum Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess Of Cornwall ,60, and girlfriend Kate Middleton, 26, were there to cheer William, 25, on.
It had earlier been reported that Kate would be forced to miss the graduation because the Royal didn't want her to steal the limelight.
But the rumours were proved false as William proudly showed her off on his arm.
