Singer admits his luxury demands were fuelled by anger

Brian McFadden has confessed he insisted record label Sony BMG treat him like royalty when he went solo.

The singer split from Westlife in 2004 and wanted to 'take advantage' as pay back for 'things they'd done' in the past.

‘I took the piss,’ he says. ‘I had to have first-class flights for me and my team that I didn’t need. I even had my hairdresser on a retainer of £110,000-a-year.

‘It was ridiculous. They’d taken the piss out of us in Westlife for so long. So I took the piss out of them. But it came back to bite me in the arse.’

Now that he’s been dropped by the company, Brian, 27, says he regrets his actions.

‘You do start to believe your own hype,’ he tells The Sun. ‘I was very arrogant. Because of the money they spent and the deal I got, there wasn’t enough for them to make a profit.’
