Friends star to pursue directing career

David Schwimmer has decided to call time on his acing career.
The star – who played Ross Geller in the US sitcom Friends for 10 years – says he wants to focus on directing after the success of Run, Fatboy, Run.
‘I really didn’t think about acting in it – I just want to focus all my energy into one thing, directing,’ he tells the Daily Mirror.
David, 41, is said to have been heavily influenced by pal Simon Pegg, 38, who wrote and starred in the film.
‘David made $40 million from Friends and is keen to devote himself to direction. Fatboy’s success reaffirmed his decision,’ a source adds.
