Justin Timberlake has donated £100,000 to music foundations in his home town of Memphis, Tennessee.
He gave cheques of £50,000 each to the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum and the Memphis Music Foundation.
‘Music education and keeping the legacy of Memphis Music alive has always been important to me,’ he tells People. ‘That is why I will always continue to support my home town in the same way it has always supported me.’
Justin, 27, grew up in the area before joining The Mickey Mouse Club alongside ex-girlfriend, Britney Spears, 26.
He is currently back there filming for his new movie The Open Road.
Organisers say his donations will contribute towards educating local students and preserving the Memphis Music story.
