Gemma Atkinson: I've been practising my American accent

Glamour model ditches Northern twang

Gemma Atkinson is learning to speak with an American accent in a bid to make it in Hollywood.

The actress, who comes from Bury, Lancs, is flying to LA for auditions, but wants to leave her Northern twang behind.

'I'm enjoying getting back to acting and have been practising my American accent for when I go out to LA for castings,' she says.

Gemma, 23, is also set to release her first record.

'As well as acting I've been writing songs for my upcoming album, which I'll be recording in Nashville,' she tells the Daily Star. 'This is a very busy time for me.'
