Despite the illnes, she's insisted on continuing filming the sixth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince.
Maggie, 73, is said to be taking the illness in her stride. ‘The last thing she wants to do is make a fuss about it,’ a friend tells The Daily Mail.
The actress has won two Oscars during her 50-year career, including one for the 2001 film Gosford Park.
