Penelope Cruz: I want to adopt 20 children

In the meantime, Tom Cruise's ex collects cats

Penelope Cruz is currently dating Oscar-winning star Javier Bardem after broken relationships with Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey.

The 33-year-old would love to have a family one day but isn't planning to start just yet.

'I’d love to have kids,' she tells Now. 'Maybe I’ll adopt about 20 children – that’s been my dream since I was a little girl. I love children, but at the moment I’m happy with my career.

'If one day I have a baby I’m not going to be able to work like I do now. I can be in London one day, Miami the next, New York after that, then back to LA. I travel more than some pilots! I’d still want to work when I have children, but not as much as I do now.'

While she's still single, Penelope expresses her maternal instincts towards pussies.

'I’ve collected stray cats from everywhere in the world,' she admits. 'My family’s going crazy about it.'
