David Beckham has got another tattoo – his 13th.
Becks' latest artwork is a strip of Chinese symbols that run down the left side of his torso.
It is reported to say: 'Death and life have determined appointments. Riches and honour depend upon heaven.'
'The proverb has a strong meaning for David,' a source tells The Sun. 'He is really thoughtful about the tattoos he gets. He doesn't just rush in.'
David, 32, unveiled the new design when he took to the pitch with team LA Galaxy in their 0 - 0 draw against FC Dallas on Saturday.
The soccer star is believed to have acquired the body art during his tour of the Far East with his team-mates.
