Singer asked to perform at US party

Amy Winehouse is set to earn a whopping £500,000 to perform at a party at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute on 5 May.
Designer host Giorgio Armani is reported to have asked co-chairs Julia Roberts and George Clooney to sign up the troubled star.
'Amy was taken aback when she learned that Clooney and Roberts were after her,' a source reveals.
'She hasn't really taken it in – and keeps saying her life is getting more surreal by the second. She's seriously considering their generous offer.'
Karl Lagerfield is already a big fan of Amy's style and Giorgio is believed to want to talk to her about future projects.
'Giorgio has made no secret to his friends that he would love to work with Amy,' the insider tells the Daily Mirror.
'He sees this party as the ideal opportunity to sound her out.'
Yesterday, 24-year-old Amy's face looked blotchy, raw and bruised as she was snapped leaving her London home to visit husband Blake Fielder-Civil in prison.
The singer, who has a history of self-harming, also had long red scratches on her arm.
