Eva Longoria celebrates birthday without Tony Parker

Husband misses party because of basketball game

Eva Longoria threw an early birthday party on Wednesday but husband Tony Parker was forced to miss it.

The actress hosted an extravagant bash for celebrity pals at her new Beso restaurant in Hollywood.

Tony, 25 - who plays basketball for the San Antonio Spurs - had a crucial game against the New Orleans Hornets so couldn't make it.

And to make matters worse, Marcia Cross, 45, was the only one of the Desperate Housewives stars to make an appearance.

But it seems Eva - who turns 33 tomorrow - wasn't short of friends.

America Ferrera, 23, Sheryl Crow, 46, and rapper Eve, 29, were all spotted at the glitzy gathering.
