Daniel Craig given military protection

Armed guards shield 007 from violence as he films in Panama

Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig has been given a military guard so he's safe from violent clashes between forces in Panama.

The actor is currently filming Quantum Of Solace in the Central American country.

Government officials have called armed forces to ensure that the James Bond star, 40, and the remaining film crew are not harmed.

Bond producers Michale Wilson and Barbara Broccoli say none of the crew have been threatened, but the team's decision to move to Chile later this month could be due to the regional unrest.

Quantum Of Solace is due out in November.
