Nicolas Anelka may be just the man to take the property off his hands

Ashley Cole’s Chelsea teammates are interested in buying his home.

The footie hunk, 27, has reportedly been told by wife Cheryl, 24, that they have to move out of their mansion to make a clean start following claims he had an affair.

Striker Nicolas Anelka is considered the front-runner as he moved to the club from Bolton Wanderers in January and is still looking for a permanent place to live.

‘Ashley told the lads that he was selling the house on Cheryl’s orders,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘And rather than sympathy, he just got lots of interest in the mansion.

'Anelka is still renting in the area and is very keen. But as they are cutting out agents’ fees, he would want a good price. Michael Ballack showed an interest too.’
