Kerry Katona wants ‘Dad’ to take DNA test on TV show

Bus driver who claims to be singer’s father says it’s outrageous

Kerry Katona wants the man who claims to be her real dad to take a DNA test to prove it.

Controversially, it’s reported she also wants to film the procedure and the result for MTV fly-on-the-wall documentary series Kerry Katona: Crazy In Love.

Production firm North One TV is believed to have approached John Dowd about appearing on the show.

But the 50-year-old bus driver from Warrington, Cheshire, thinks it’s out of order.

‘It’s like blackmail, it’s unbelievable,’ he tells The Sun. ‘They’re basically saying, “If you don’t do it on TV, then she won’t do it”.’

John came forward last year claiming Kerry, 27, was his daughter. He says he had a fling with the former Atomic Kitten star's troubled mother Sue 9 months before Kerry was born in 1980.
