Lily Allen: I'm off the booze and it's boring

Singer stays at home to avoid London's drink and drugs culture

A gothic looking Lily goes to London Fashion Week

Lily Allen has vowed to stay away from alcohol.

The singer gave up booze when she found out she was pregnant and, despite her miscarriage in January, Lily wants to stick to her healthier lifestyle.

‘When I was pregnant, I stopped drinking and I didn’t start again,’ she explains. ‘Then when the baby was gone, I thought, “That doesn’t mean I’m going to go back to how I was”.’

But the 22-year-old says it’s meant she’s had to avoid going out.

‘I’ve been sad and quite lonely recently because if you’re young, living in London and working in this industry, unless you drink and take a lot of drugs, there’s not much to do,’ she tells Glamour.

‘I’ve been sitting on my own watching TV. It’s boring to go out if everyone else is taking cocaine and shouting at me.’
