The investigation over the Australian actor's death continues
Monday, 3 March 2008
Police investigators still do not know how Heath Ledger managed to obtain Oxycontin and Vicodin.
Bottles for sleeping pills and anti-anxiety drugs were found in the Australian actor's New York apartment but none for the extra-strong painkillers.
Two doctors - one in Houston and one in LA - have been quizzed about prescribing Heath legitimate medication but neither could shed any light on how he got hold of the extra tablets.
'Either someone gave it to him or he bought it himself or he got it online,' a source tells People.com.
Heath died on 22 January at the age of 28 and investigations into his death continue.
