Monday, 3 March 2008
Andy Abraham will represent the UK in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The former X Factor contestant, 43, was selected by the public on Saturday over 5 other acts for his funky song Even If.
‘I'm freaked out,’ Andy said on hearing the results on BBC1 show Eurovision: Your Decision. ‘What can I say - the public have voted me in and I'm over the moon.
‘I will try my best to make them proud out in Serbia. I really hope people in Europe will give the song a chance.’
The 2008 Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Belgrade on 24 May.
