Singer’s hearing rescheduled
Thursday, 28 February 2008
Amy Winehouse’s appearance in front of a Norwegian judge to appeal against a fine for marijuana possession has been postponed.
Her lawyer’s request to reschedule the hearing has been granted.
Amy had been due in Bergen district court tomorrow to challenge the charge, on the basis that the drug did not belong to her.
She and husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, were arrested in October and had to cough up £350 each after spending the night in custody.
Meanwhile, US chatshow hosts, including Larry King and Oprah Winfrey, are reportedly in a bidding war with Sir Trevor McDonald’s Tonight programme to land an exclusive chat with Amy, 24, about the drugs bust.
‘Larry King is leading the race to secure an interview with Amy on his show,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘He's confident he can see off Oprah in the race to get her signature.’
