Prince William tells Kate Middleton he’ll propose next year

Royal wants to commit after RAF training

Prince William has reportedly told girlfriend Kate Middleton he will pop the question when he becomes a full-time Royal next year.

The 25-year-old has hardly seen Kate since Christmas because he's been spending all his time training as a pilot with the RAF.

But insiders say when he’s got his wings, he will finally commit.

‘William has told Kate if they can survive this long stint apart then he’ll propose to her,’ a source reveals.

But Kate, 26, will have to prepare herself for never being No 1 in Wills' life - his duty to the country will always come first.

'William has told her in no uncertain term he wants to prioritise his duties and throw himself into the role,’ the source tells the News Of The World.

‘Kate is prepared to wait for William – there is no question of that. But she’s concerned he’s trying to loosen the relationship.’

William will join the Royal Navy in June and is likely to be abroad for some time.

Then in 2009 he will start intensive training on his constitutional duties, including a stint at the foreign office.
