Dancing On Ice star speaks out about pants pain

Dancing On Ice star Gareth Gates has revealed his secret shame: he is forced to wear a jockstrap on the reality show.

'I've never worn one before and it's the most horrendous feeling,' he blubs.

'You're constantly like, "Get out of my a**e!"'

The former Pop Idol has wowed the judges with his daring skating routines - and all without his pants on.

'You can't wear any pants because the lights are so strong,' he explains, 'you'd see a line.'

Gareth, 23, who recently got engaged to 32-year-old dancer Suzanne Mole, also admits he's happy to bare his chest in the name of reality show glory.

'If getting my nipples out gets me some extra votes, fine,' he says.

'Before I went on, everyone was flicking my nips to get them hard.'
