TV presenter involved in planning row
Saturday, 23 February 2008
Anthea Turner may have to bulldoze a £500k tennis court she had built in the grounds of her farmhouse near Godalming, Surrey.
The TV personality, 47, didn't have the necessary planning permission to go ahead with the sports facility and an adjacent pavilion.
Anthea and husband Grant Bovey, 46, only sought approval after the work was completed – and now the application has been rejected.
A spokesman for Waverley Borough Council has confirmed the decision.
'Our enforcement team will serve them with a notice to remove the tennis court, pavilion and floodlights,' he tells the Daily Mail.
Anthea will now have to win an appeal to save the tennis court.
