Prince William refused time off to see girlfriend

Prince William was forced to cancel his Valentine's Day celebrations with Kate Middleton because of work commitments.
The royal has been training at RAF Cranwell since January and has not returned to London since.
After rumours of a split last week, Kate, 26, wanted to meet for crisis talks about their relationship.
But RAF bosses are said to have refused William time off.
'He thought he could slip out but the RAF wanted everyone to stay on base,' an insider tells the Sunday People.
'Kate was going to drive and meet him halfway in Lincolnshire. Instead they sent cards and will exchange gifts [later].'
