Singer adores new baby Max but was terrifed about giving birth

Christina Aguilera admits she's madly in love with newborn son Max Liron.

The singer, who married music producer Jordan Bratman, 30, in November 2005, says the little boy has brought them so much joy.

'The most reassuring thing for me was hearing that first beautiful cry,' she says. 'I just welled up with tears. He's completely changed my life. We can't stop staring at him.'

The first time mum, 27, who gave birth on 12 January, opted for a Caesarean because she was scared about a natural delivery.

'I'd heard horror stories about tearing. I really wanted a calm and peaceful environment,' Christina tells People. 'It was just a really nice relaxing way to give birth.'
