Sir Paul McCartney helps son launch new music career

Macca to be James McCartney’s backing singer

Sir Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney is to work with his son James on an album.

The 30-year-old has roped in his dad, 65, to help with the recording of his debut LP to be released later this year.

‘The word is James wants to try out some of the new material live in the near future and it’s understood that Paul will be performing with him,’ an insider reveals.

The Beatle will lend James a hand on stage by being his backing singer.

‘James won’t want any big fuss as he’s not someone who seeks the limelight, so the gig will inevitably be very low-key,’ the source tells The Daily Express.

‘But Macca isn’t a bad backing musician to have under the circumstances.’
