Lily Allen splits with Ed Simons

She loses her man after tragic miscarriage

Pregnant singer Lily and her musician boyfriend Ed go shopping in Notting Hill in London.

Lily Allen has broken up with boyfriend Ed Simons.

The pair met at a Chemical Brothers gig in September and Lily became pregnant soon after they got together.

They announced they were delighted about the baby but things became strained after the 22-year-old singer suffered a miscarriage.

Lily and Ed, 37, recently returned from a romantic holiday in the Maldives but couldn't stop rowing.

'They tried to make things work,' a friend of Lily's tells The Sun.

'There is a big age difference and the heartbreak they had to cope with was too much too early in their relationship.'

Lily's spokesman declined to comment.
