Britney Spears' parents visited her at UCLA Medical Center yesterday.
Dad Jamie - who has been granted temporary control of his daughter's affairs - and Lynne Spears arrived at lunchtime and stayed for more than 5 hours. They also visited Kevin Federline's home.
The 72-hour psychiatric hold on Britney runs out today but she may well stay longer.
'She's more comfortable this time,' a source told People.com soon after she was admitted. 'She came into the waiting area, had a cigarette, made a joke about being there again. But who knows what will happen. All we can hope for is that she gets better.'
Getting Britney into a hospital for the 2nd time was planned far in advance, according to the source.
'Something like this has been in the works since the [last trip to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center]. She has been seeing her psychiatrist every day,' revealed the insider.
'No one thought this would happen this soon, but it was clear if she stayed up for more than 3 days she'd have to get sent, since that could cause real damage.'
