Cheryl Cole leaves £6m marital home

Girls Aloud singer needs to spend time away from hubby Ashley Cole to clear her head

Cheryl Cole and husband Ashley are taking a ‘break’ from their marriage.

The Girls Aloud singer moved out of the couple’s £6m Surrey home last night following claims that the footie hunk, 27, cheated on her.

But Cheryl's agent insists the pair have not split.

‘They are definitely still together,’ the rep tells The Sun. ‘There is obviously lots of stuff going on at the moment and Cheryl has gone away for a break to clear her head for a few days.’

Cheryl, 24 – who has also pulled out of all promotional work with Girls Aloud - had earlier taken part in a video shoot for the group's next single Can’t Speak French.

During the recording, she is said to have broken down.

Bandmates Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, 26, Nicola Roberts, 22, and Kimberley Walsh, 26, helped comfort her at the London studio.

The shocking allegations about Ashley, 27, have emerged at the same time as the publication of an interview with Cheryl in which she talks about the importance of fidelity.

‘You just can't work through affairs sometimes,’ she tells OK!. ‘Trust is so important to me.’
