Favourite is out of ITV contest as Corrie star Zaraah Abrahams joins the show
Monday, 28 January 2008
Samantha Mumba was voted off Dancing On Ice last night – despite being a hot favourite to win the contest.
The ex-singer, 24, came bottom of the public vote alongside athlete Steve Backley.
But the 5 judges unanimously decided to save the javelin champion, 38.
Sam - pictured with dance partner Pavel Aubrecht - refused to blame her niggling ankle injury.
‘I've really really enjoyed it,’ she insisted after hearing the news. ‘It's been amazing, I can't speak highly enough of it.’
Meanwhile, ex-Coronation Street star Zaraah Abrahams, who played Joanne Jackson, joined the ITV show.
She is replacing Michael Underwood, 32, who had to pull out of the programme after breaking his ankle.
