John Travolta pays tribute to Heath Ledger

He says loss of Brokeback Mountain star has hit him hard

John Travolta has been deeply affected by Heath Ledger's death.

The Grease star, 53, was a big fan of the 28-year-old Aussie.

And despite never starring opposite him, John claims Heath’s acting style influenced his own work.

‘I think he is a real loss as a person and as a talent,’ he says. ‘His agent introduced me to him at a party, and I just fell.

‘Actors need other actors to be inspired by, and he was “my” actor.’

John says that he’s so traumatised by Heath passing away, he’d even give up his fame to see him one more time.

‘I did know Heath and I adored him,’ he tells the Daily Record. ‘I am pretty devastated over this.

‘He was my favourite actor and my favourite talent. It’s like losing James Dean. I would happily give back all my awards and all my nominations just to have him back.'
