Johnny Depp to stand in for Heath Ledger in new film

Actor has been approached to complete The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus.

Johnny Depp is being tipped to replace Heath Ledger in The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus.

The actor was six weeks from finishing the film when he died on Tuesday in New York.

Movie producers are desperate to complete the production and are hoping Johnny, 44, will agree to shoot the final scenes.

‘There is a point in the film where Heath falls through a magic mirror,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘He could change into another character after that and that is where Johnny would come in.

'It’s a weird, fantasy, time travel movie so Heath’s character could easily change appearance.’

The cause of Heath's death remains unknown. It's believed his body is being flown back to Australia for burial.
