Heath Ledger’s body found by masseuse – not housekeeper

Masseuse says she discovered him unconscious

Masseuse Diana Wolozin is believed to have found Heather Ledger's body – not his housekeeper Teresa Solomon as originally thought.

Teresa heard the actor snoring at 1pm, so she didn't think anything was wrong, reports The New York Times.

Diana arrived at 2.45pm for her appointment, set up her massage table in Heath's room and tried to wake the star who was face down on the bed.

When she found he was cold to the touch, Diana told police that she just assumed he was unconscious. She then used his mobile phone to call Heath's friend Mary-Kate Olsen for advice before dialling 911.

The actor's body was moved to the floor - where it was originally said to have been found in a curled-up position - by the emergency services as they tried to revive him.

Heath was pronounced dead at 3.36 pm.

Six different types of prescription drugs were found in his apartment. Heath had been suffering depression and had complained of insomnia.

His autopsy began yesterday but proved inconclusive. Further test will be carried out in the next 10 days to determine the cause of death.
