John Travolta sticks up for Tom Cruise
John Travolta has lashed out at critics and defended Tom Cruise after last week's leaked Scientology video.
The 10-minute film - which became an instant Youtube hit - shows Tom talking about the bizarre principles of the religious cult.
In the clip Tom, 45, heaps praise on the Church Of Scientology and makes the controversial claim that only Scientologists have the ability to help accident victims.
John, 53, insists that the intense media furore has gone too far.
'[Tom] has – we all have the right to practise how we feel,' he tells People.com.
'It finally becomes unfair.'
Tom attended an Australia.com gala on Saturday with John and wife Kelly Preston.
