S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara is pregnant

Shamed BB star is expecting first child

Former S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara is pregnant.

The 28-year-old is expecting her first child with her long-term boyfriend.

‘It wasn't planned, but it's a very nice surprise,’ she confirms.

Jo – who is already 6 months gone – was the target of a hate campaign last year when she was accused of becoming involved in racist bullying of Shilpa Shetty, 32, on Celebrity Big Brother.

She’s hoping the unborn child will help her get over the ordeal.

‘I'm nervous at the thought of a little person calling me Mum, but it's a very happy way to begin 2008,’ she tells the Daily Mirror.

‘This feels like a fresh start to me - new year, new baby, new purpose. I'm grateful for that.’

The baby is due in the spring.
