Katie Holmes has spoken about her career ambitions for daughter Suri.

The actress appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman last Monday and was asked if she liked the idea of her daughter following in her footsteps.

‘Oh yeah. She’s very, I mean, she’s so smart and she’s already talking a lot,’ the 29-year-old tells the US chat show host. ‘You can see she’s already a wonderful artist.’

But Katie has also insists she won’t pressurise Suri into pursuing acting.

‘What if she says,”You know what? I’d rather work at Starbucks.” That’d be alright too, right?’ asks David.

‘Yeah. No, sure it’ll be fine,’ she replies.

Meanwhile, Katie reportedly slimmed down to her new svelte size by eating lots of broccoli.

‘The diet called the KH diet – for Katie Holmes – consists of a bowl of carrot soup for breakfast, followed by raw broccoli for lunch and dinner,’ an insider tells the Daily Star.
