Child star dies at the age of 25

Brad Renfro – who shot to fame at the age of 12 in The Client - has died at the age of 25.

The US actor’s body was discovered in a Los Angeles apartment yesterday morning.

Brad was staying with friends and was heard snoring throughout the night but was found not breathing in the morning.

Cause of death is still unknown but the actor had a history of drug problems and at the time of his death was on 3-years’ probation for attempting to possess heroin.

‘[A drug overdose] is a possibility considering his history, but right now all we have is the history of his drinking the previous night,’ the chief investigator for the LA county coroner tells People.com.

Brad, who had worked with A-listers including Susan Sarandon, Dustin Hoffman and Brad Pitt, had recently finished filming a thriller with Winona Ryder and Billy Bob Thornton.
