Keira Knightley rejects ring from fella

She chooses Chanel over antique band

Keira Knightley has reportedly angered boyfriend Rupert Friend by refusing to wear an antique ring he bought for her.

The actor recently gave the 22-year-old a white-gold band to signify their love.

But Keira is said to prefer Chanel jewellery.

‘Rupert bought Keira this antique ring at considerable expense and while it's not an engagement ring, he intended it to symbolise their love for one another,’ says a source.

‘But, as the face of Chanel, Keira has obviously been inundated with very expensive jewellery from its fine jewellery collection and has chosen to regularly wear one of its rings instead.’

Despite the disagreement, Rupert and Keira are still loved up.

'They are both young actors with their careers still very much ahead of them so relationships are never going to be straightforward,' the insider tells the Daily Express. 'Hopefully they will work things out.’

The pair have been dating since December 2005.
