Final manner of Kanye West’s mum's death could not be determined

Donda West collapsed after breast surgery and liposuction

Kanye West’s mother Donda died of heart disease following 'possible post-operative factors', reports the LA coroner.

The 58-year-old academic - who retired from a post at Chicago State University to manage her son's career - was able to walk out of hospital after having a breast reduction and liposuction on 9 November last year.

She wanted to to return home and was cared for by an experienced nurse and two carers.

But the morning after her 5 hours in the operating theatre, she developed a sore throat, pain and tightening in her chest and collapsed shortly after, states the autopsy report.

After the emergency services were called, Donda was pronounced dead in A&E.

'Multiple post-operative factors' could have played a role in her death, says the coroner.

'There was no evidence of a surgical or anaesthetic misadventure.'
