Supermodel expecting Nicolas Sakozy's child, say reports

Supermodel Carla Bruni is said to be pregnant with French president Nicolas Sarkozy's child - less than two months after they started dating.

Doctors in Paris confirmed the news last night, according to French website 20minutes.fr.

'I am told that she had a scan and the pregnancy was confirmed,' reporter Allain Jules reveals.

Carla's reported pregnancy follows the news that Nicolas, 52 - who divorced 2nd wife Cecilia 4 months ago - popped the question to his 40-year-old lover on Christmas Day.

The couple, who jetted to Egypt and Jordan for a holiday last month, are now set to hurriedly tie the knot on 9 February, it's claimed.

'They have had a whirlwind romance after meeting at a party seven weeks ago, and have been almost inseparable ever since,' Allain tells the Daily Mail.

'They are clearly completely besotted with each other, and there is no reason why if Miss Bruni has fallen pregnant either by accident or design, they should not have the child.

'If this is the case, they are doing the right thing by getting married as soon as possible.'
