But troubled singer admits she needs a drink to get through the day
Thursday, 10 January 2008
Amy Winehouse still says no, no, no to rehab - and this time her reason is that she's not a weakling.
'If you can't sort something out for yourself then no one can help you,' she says.
'I don't know whether that's because I'm a strong woman.'
The troubled singer, who has just unveiled a new bleach-tastic look, insists that getting hooked on alcohol is worse than dabbling with A-class drugs.
'Drinking long-term is a lot worse than heroin,' she tells US OK!.
'I went to a restaurant recently and my friend was like, "Do you remember the last time we were here? The head waiter carried you but you were trying to punch and kick us."'
Amy - who's desperately missing hubbie Blake Fielder-Civil while he's in prison - admits she sometimes needs a drink to help her cope with life.
'There are days when I'm like: "Listen, if you want to have a nice day, please get me some alcohol,"' she confesses.
