Passenger Tracie Rice seeking damages
Thursday, 10 January 2008
Lindsay Lohan is being sued over the car chase that led to her arrest - and brief imprisonment - for DUI in July last year.
The singer was pursuing a vehicle driven by Michele Peck, the mother of her former assistant, through the streets of Santa Monica in July.
Michele's passenger Tracie Rice filed suit against Lindsay in August for emotional distress.
In December she filed papers in LA's Superior Court in December claiming she was left traumatised after the incident and unable to work - thinking the car was going to be hijacked.
She is seeking unspecified damages and claims that she's had to spend £3500 on medical care including visits to a therapist.
The Hollywood star spent 2 months in rehab last year but was videotaped drinking from a champagne bottle on New Year's Eve on the Italian island of Capri.
Lindsay’s rep had no comment.
