American rapper lined up for this year's festival
Thursday, 10 January 2008
Kanye West is being lined up to headline at this summer's Glastonbury festival.
Organisers are desperate to pull in the crowds after last year's disaster when they experienced technical problems and bad weather.
Michael Eavis – who runs the event on Worthy Farm, Pilton - is pulling out all the stops to make 2007 a memorable occasion.
'I'm putting on a black American headliner who's absolutely terrific,' he tells The Sun.
Amy Winehouse, 24, is also said to be performing at the festival, which will be held on the last weekend of June.
To buy a ticket for Glastonbury 2008, you MUST first register during February.
