Amy Winehouse goes blonde

Singer ditches trademark black beehive

Amy Winehouse has ditched her trademark beehive and dyed her hair blonde.

The singer, 24, was snapped yesterday with a new look.

It's the first time Amy has been seen out and about since she arrived back to the UK from Mustique at the weekend.

And Amy's brassy blonde do made quite an impression on the awaiting paparazzi as she popped to the shops.

With just a yellow fringe peeping out from a retro-patterned headscarf, her Big Hair look was gone.

Amy - who experimented with a blonde streak last October - reckons her new look will help her get over her recent troubles.

'Amy decided she wanted to bleach her hair at the beginning of the week,' says a source.

'She sees it as a new year and a new start. A change of image seemed a good way to mark it.

'She didn't do it herself. A hairdresser coloured and styled it. It hasn't been all cut off. She's still got long hair.'

Sounds like Amy won't be going Back To Black anytime soon.
